Deanna Purslow, BCBA
Deanna is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a deep passion for mentoring and developing ABA practitioners who are committed to ethical, compassionate, and transformative inclusive care. With extensive experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral needs and social barriers, they specialize in Skills-Based Treatment (SBT) rooted in naturalized teaching strategies and the identification of behavioral cusps that unlock lasting, meaningful change.
Throughout their career, Deanna has worked across clinical and home settings, supporting learners whose needs often require individualized, flexible, and highly responsive intervention plans. By integrating naturalistic approaches with a strong parsimony lens, they aim to create therapeutic environments where safety, connection, and dignity are prioritized to build relationships.
As a mentor, Deanna supports emerging professionals—including RBTs, graduate students, and early-career BCBAs—in refining their clinical judgment, improving fluency with practical functional assessments, Universal Protocols, and delivering SBT with fidelity and empathy across an organization. Equally important is their emphasis on professional development—helping mentees refine and grow as confident, reflective practitioners.
With a philosophy grounded in collaboration, respect, and continuous learning, Deanna aims to elevate the next generation of ABA professionals—especially those serving individuals with the most complex needs—through thoughtful mentorship, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to socially meaningful outcomes.
