Need Support?
We’ve got you.
Training gives you the framework. Consultation helps you use it with the learners, teams, and systems in front of you.
Our consultants specialize in helping clinicians and teams put assent-based care, Practical Functional Assessment (PFA), and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) into practice.
Course Q&A Sessions
Pair your learning with live expert support
Our asynchronous CEU courses cover the foundations of PFA, SBT, and assent-based care. Q&A sessions give you live time with a consultant to ask questions, clear up sticking points, and talk through how the content applies to your work.
Two ways to join:
- Included with group workshop purchases: Teams that bulk purchase Beyond the Protocol: Behavioral Artistry in PFA/SBT get dedicated Q&A sessions for their group.
- Open-enrollment sessions: We schedule public Q&A sessions throughout the year as consultant availability allows. Check upcoming dates below.
Format: Live virtual Q&A · 1-hour sessions · 3 sessions total
One-Time Support
Brief Consultation
One hour, your questions
A focused 1-hour virtual session with a consultant. Bring your questions, plus any data, videos, or materials that will help us understand the situation, and leave with clearer next steps.
Great for:
- Specific questions about the PFA/SBT process
- A second set of eyes on your data
- Getting unstuck on a single decision point
Format: 1-hour virtual session
Design Sessions
Plan it right before you start
Collaborative working sessions where we design the next phase with you.
- PFA Design Session: Plan your PFA before you run it. We’ll go from interview to hypothesis, set up your test and control conditions, help you design your starting branches, and plan your data collection.
- SBT Branch Design Session: We’ll help you conceptualize and structure SBT branches that target the challenges your learner is facing right now, and help you identify the shaping steps needed to progress toward mastery.
- Generalization Design Session: Plan how skills will carry over to new people, settings, activities, and routines, so progress lasts beyond the treatment context.
Format: 1:1 or group sessions available. 2-hour sessions.
Ongoing Consultation
1:1 Consultation
A dedicated thought partner for complex situations
Recurring one-on-one sessions with an experienced consultant, tailored to what you need right now. Support can include:
- Ongoing PFA/SBT guidance: refining your process at each step, from assessment through generalization
- Complex case consultation: applying PFA/SBT or assent-based care processes or when assessment results are unclear, treatment has stalled, or the context is complicated
- Assent-based care: building practices that recognize and honor assent, and bringing them into your programs, routines, and team culture
Format: Flexible frequency and duration. Reach out to discuss your needs.
Small Group Consultation
8-10 weeks of guided support, built around your group
A small group meets weekly for 8-10 weeks, and we shape the series around where your group is in the process. For example:
- Getting started: a group preparing to run their first PFAs. Start the series with a design session, then use the remaining weeks to implement and troubleshoot.
- Mid-treatment: a group already working through SBT who wants support together
Format: 8-10 weekly virtual sessions · 1-hour per week · Up to 5 group participants

Please Note
Consultation is educational and advisory. It is not clinical supervision, and it does not establish a consultant–client relationship with any service recipient. Consultees keep full clinical responsibility for all assessment, treatment, and service decisions. If you share data or video, you are responsible for having the required consent or authorization, and you should remove identifying information wherever possible.
